Hi. My name is Scott and this
site is just a continuation of my hobby and my love for automobiles and automotive
memorabilia. I believe that I inherited this fascination from my Father. I remember when I
was a young boy, sitting in the front seat of the car going down the road with him and he
would ask me to name each car as it passed by, and I would, one by one, mile after mile. I
find myself still doing this to this day. I guess old habits are hard to break. Even at
night, I try to name the cars just by their tail lights and trust me, that is not so easy
to do in this modern plastic "jelly bean" car world we live in today. It seems
that most of the automobile manufacturers are producing cars to look just like their
competitors models, border lining on copy right infringements with a fear of going out on
the limb of originality or individualism. I long for the good old days when you could just
look at a car at a glance and you could tell if it was a Ford or Chevrolet.
I'm not a guy who is just a GM fan or Ford man. I'm not a
believer in Mopar or no car. I love all American made automobiles. The big three and the
one hit wonders. Lets face it... They all made fantastic cars and they all made some
lemons. I feel that a true automobile enthusiast likes the flops just as well as the cars
that will go down in history as fine automobiles. We are intrigued with why some auto
manufacturers didn't make it as well as those whom have. I do however, have a great
respect for individuals who will stand by their favorite make through thick and thin. I
enjoy the rhetoric between opposing auto fans but, that's not the kind of guy I am. I can
find enjoyment while I'm column shifting my three speed, flat head six Studebaker into
third gear and settling down for a nice easy Sunday cruise, or jamming a four speed big
block Muscle car down into second after mashing though first and wondering "Buddy,
Buddy!" where is baby going to go when I let out this clutch.
I hope to see you at our Annual River City Swap Meet and
Car Corral at the Evansville, IN National Guard Armory May 30th and 31st. Pease feel free
to contact me via e-mail or phone me at (812) 491-1258 for more information.
